Katie Enders is
certified as an Alexander Technique Teacher by the Urbana Center for the
Alexander Technique (Urbana, Illinois), where she trained for 3 years
with Joan and Alex Murray. A member of the American Society for the
Alexander Technique (AmSAT), she has led workshops in the Technique at
Indiana State University, North Carolina Wesleyan College, and East
Carolina University. She has worked privately with musicians, actors,
dancers, athletes, artists, meditators, computer programmers, and others
who have sought to alleviate pain caused by habitual misuse.
In addition, Ms.
Enders has an MA in English from the University of Iowa and an MA-Ed. in
the Teaching of English as a Second Language (TESL) from the University
of Toledo. Currently she raises her 5-year-old son and plays fiddle with
the Celtic music group, the Wild Rumpus. She has played cello with the
University of Iowa Orchestra, the Ann Arbor Symphony, the Indiana State
University Orchestra, and the Tar River Orchestra, among others.
